Life has taught me that the joy of earning more money, is short lived. You still manage to have less money as you adapt your lifestyle to a higher income. I can’t help but believe that if I’d worked as an aid worker or overseas charity worker, the joy I would have received from helping people, teaching them how to help themselves, would far outweigh any of those payrises….or new handbags and shoes I bought with them.  Giving back to the world we live in, feels like a much more rewarding vocation.  I get it’s not for everyone, but for me, I feel I  definitely would have been more appreciated over the years in that job, than all my others put together! That’s an awfully sad realisation
