What does it mean to be a kid at heart?
As we grow older a lot of us forget about the joy we had as a child. Oblivious to big serious stuff as we were shielded from it by our parents. We were able to stay innocent in our minds & hearts, going through our days moment to moment without a care or worry in the world….other than can I have some more cake, or some sweets or this new toy. We were protected from the evil in the world, and those that sought to harm us. They were always there, we just didn’t know about them, we just knew the phrase ‘stranger danger’ meant don’t talk to people you don’t know, or go see their puppies….seemed reasonable, apart from the not seeing their puppies. When it’s put like that most of us would to go back to that time, stranger danger and all, when we just played at being kids. No bills or worries to take over our days, we could still play our pretend grown up games like doctors and nurses, cops and robbers, kiss chase, hide n’ seek, skipping and many many more. The age of innocence , when we still believed in the tooth fairy and Santa….what we wouldn’t give to go back to that time, when we knew how to have fun and everything else was boring…back to our inner child, because deep down we are all still that kid at heart….but we left ‘Neverland’, ‘Peter Pan’ & ‘Tinkerbell’ behind us, and all we want to do is go back…..and play!
