What’s something you believe everyone should know.
A few years ago I read Hal Elrods book, The miracle morning. It’s a total game changer, admittedly it took me a year or so to implement it but when I do….Wow.
I usually get up about 3hrs before I have to leave for work. Now that sounds crazy I know, but that has more to do with my dog Harper needing a walk, and I just fill the rest of the morning will all of the below at a very slow pace and before I pick up my phone to check anything. No emails, messages, news or social media, nothing that will drag me away from my morning routine below.
The order doesn’t really matter that much, other than Harper’s walk as her bladder takes priority over everything.
- Walk Harper my dog – get a bulk load of steps in and reciting a few affirmations along the way.
- Exercise/Stretching – I like hit workouts or yoga
- Meditate – just 15 mins switching off, starting with a clean slate
- Read – 30mins either reading or an audiobook fiction or non fiction.
- Journal – get my thoughts down onto paper, usually as the sun is just peeping over the horizon. I use this time for visualisation, whether using a vision board or a journal. See myself living the life I want.
- Listening to a podcast – on days when I have chores like loading the washing machine and meal prep.
By the time I leave for work I have done all my chores, set myself up mentally and started my day as the best version of me.
You should all give it a go, or at least read the book and ponder over it for a year or so.
